Hi Guys
I am currently in the process of restoring a Reed #206 R vise and have had a hard time trying to remove the swivel bolt. I have tried heat, PB blaster, and finally welded a large nut on the swivel bolt and tried my large air impact gun. No joy, it won’t budge. I currently turned the vise upside down and filled the swivel well with PB Blaster and will let it set for a couple days and try it again. Is the swivel bolt right or left hand threads? Any and all ideas welcome?
Thanks

It has the standard right hand thread. My swivel bolt was siezed up on my 4c reed, I was able to soak it for a few days and tap the swivel base counter clockwise till it broke free. Soak it for a few days and be patient, you don't want to force anything and break it. If that does not work, I would heat it with a torch
