I have for sale a Reed Model 104 vise, made in Erie, PA. It is approx 45 lb, heavy duty vise with 4" wide jaws. The jaws come together nice and square, and all of the serrations on the face of the jaws are in very good condition. No cracks or other damage other than a few very small dings.
I recently stripped all the paint off of this vise and scrubbed it completely clean it inside and out. Then I polished and oiled all of the machined surfaces, greased the acme screw, and repainted the cast surfaces in the factory green color scheme.
Patent dates on this vise are 1912 and 1916, and information I've found suggests it was built prior to 1931; but this vise is built more solidly and operates more smoothly than any new import vise you'll find, guaranteed!
