Reed swivel jaw.

What is the purpose of a swivel jaw on a reed vise? I have one lined up to buy for $50. In good shape. Good deal?

The swivel jaw is to grip oddly shaped items...i.e....non parallel sided work pieces...

Looks like that just a little smaller and has a swivel base also.

$50 for a reed 404 is a steal.
