Hello, I was hoping someone could tell me more about my VICE 205 R, especially the date of manufacture, with the meatballs. I am enclosing some photos. I have not seen this specific model shown on ebay on anywhere else. It is in excellent condition. Thank you!

The date code will be (probably very lightly) stamped on the side opposite the model/pat. #s.
There will usually be two stampings. One is usually bold and easy to see--that's an assembly number to keep fitted parts together. The other will be faint to very faint and that one is the date.
There should be both stampings on the boss of the dynamic and static jaws.
The 36 is the assembly number, the 711 is the date--July 1911.
