I think you could get $750 for it without too much trouble. It's hard to find the 9" models, so you can almost name your price...moreso if you would be willing to ship it.

That looks smaller than 7", sounds like the seller is one of those people who thinks vises are identified by how far they open.

Whether you know it or not, you found the best venue in the world to learn about your vise - value, and all.

I'm not going to touch this one on the value. What I will say is that the only other one I've ever seen for sale sold for more than the highest price mentioned in this thread prior to my post. Let me also say that the most serious of collectors won't lead you astray. You will get a fair valuation here, imo.

I'm assuming you are selling it. If you are willing to strap it to a pallet and take it to a local shipping depot then you can get $1500 - 2000 for it. Maybe more, maybe not. If you only want to sell locally then $800-1000.

Put it on craigslist and state you are willing to ship if the buyer makes arrangements. Wait....wait more...the ad will be discovered and offers will come in from far away places. You will also be insulted a bunch. Don't take it personally and ignore those people.
