There is an extensive thread on vises in the General Tools section of GJ. Also, there is a thread on date markings on Reed vises. The search function is really useful for finding specific information and thread content.

Based on the Reed logo and removable jaws it is a late model vise. AFAIK, Reed no longer makes that model but it is a very fine vise and will last a lifetime.

Can you post some pictures?
Very nice vise, Reeds are excellent, one of the best. Oval logo is desirable, high retail probably around $200 unless it is damaged.
Thanks to all who responded to my questions ! I’m very happy with the vise —it opens/ closes very easily — with only one finger actually !!
It’s my first Reed vise —-thanks again 🇺🇸🇺🇸
