Thursday evening I came across a Reelcraft 5650 OLP on Craigslist for $50. I noted the ad had been online for about a week. I figured someone had already snatched it up, but gave the guy a call anyway. Well, I was the only call he received and he still had it. So we met and I came home with what I thought is a really good deal. Checked it out, the reel action is good, no leaks etc.

But now I am wondering, why would a good brand like Reelcraft, at a decent price (or so I think) be sitting on Craigslist without any bites? Either way, I'm happy I won't be tripping on air hoses, but I am curious.

Craigslist is funny.... I once posted a Challenger low rise lift...I got one call about a week later, and the guy came over and bought it on the spot...Several weeks later I got about five calls about it in two days...(I forgot to remove the add.)

I suspect Reelcraft isn't a well known household name. If the ad listed it as Craftsman or Harbor Freight and the price was $200 it would have sold straight away.:dunno:

Picked up a Wilton 500 under similar circumstances - only it had one bad picture. The Reelcraft ad had good pics and a proper description. Not complaining though!;)
