Like above, I planned my lights and switches around the Tv and I have a full motion mounted up high as well. I can just shut some lights off. I love my TV in the shop and it doesn't slow my progress down at all. Sometimes I'll watch/listen to speed, pinks, drag racing, any car shows while working on the old cars. Other times I'll watch hunting channels. We also throw a LOT of football parties in my shop and THAT makes it worth it. I just back the hot rods out and there's room for tables, chairs and 75-100 people no problem, although there's usually 20-30 people. Wife loves it because there's no clean up in the house and the funny thing is, all my friends are better at picking up after themselves in the shop than in a house!

Before my TV died, I had to shut the light off if I wanted to actually watch something. When the new TV is purchased, I'm going to have to figure something out. If need be, I'll make a screen hood like we used on our BCT computer system in the Marines.

I used a $3 can of flat clear spray paint. Wiped it down with alcohol and gave it 3 light coats in different directions. Worked great.

I'm using a HEAVY old 36" tube TV in the garage on a big corner shelf. Glare from all the bare bulbs was terible, and I have a foil ceiling, so it was double.
