I just scored an old refrigerant air dryer for my shop. It will need a little TLC, paint and cleaning, but it works. Here is the question, do I place this before my copper cooling towers or after? I have a set of vertical runs in copper that I use for cooling air goes up, then down, 4 times, before it hits my current dryer. Each run has a daring at the bottom which gets cleared I would like to say daily but that would be a lie. Once or twice a week is more like it.

So where to put it? I would think before the copper bu then there would be no real reason to have the copper. So Refrig drier then my normal drier, or copper, refrig, normal drier. I also have a drier hung on my blasting cabinet. I use a separate HVLP turbine system to paint with when I do it. So that is dry air anyway.

if you reuse your copper put it before the dryer. If you put it after the dryer all it will do is add heat to the system.
