Great stuff B-man. I have a Matco Schrader valve tool in with my bicycle stuff.

Lugz, the reason that the Duro set you have might not include valve sockets is that the ratchet has four square holes in it. Why add extra tools when it is already covered?

Yeah, I know it freaks people out when they find out that schrader cores in bicycle tubes and A/C access valves are the same thread size. Though, I wouldn't interchange them. I don't know this for a fact but I think the polymer seal on bike tubes would handle the oils and pressures of A/C systems. Might have to ask one of my mentors about that.

Some various square socket tools in mine, but I have been chucking all the duro reefer stuff I pick up in there for a while.

For many years now I've been using my 8 point sockets to get square head bolts off of blower motor shafts. Almost got to the point of epoxying some magnets in them to hold those dang bolts when they were buried in a blower compartment.

The Schrader valves in high pressure oleopneumatic struts for aircraft landing gear have the same treads as bicycle and automotive tire valve stems. The valves in most gas-charged hydraulic accumulators also use the same threads. These applications operate at much higher pressures, commonly around 1-2,000 psi.

Since Lugz posted his nice collection of tubing benders, I couldn’t pass on this one on Friday. The other pictures are of some of my tubing cutters and the last shot is from the 1940 Duro catalog.

Digging through my pictures I came across an old self-lighting propane torch head that uses a zippo lighter flint for spark to light the flame. No matches, striker, or piezo igniter needed!
A bit clumsey but kinda nice when soldering condensate lines. :)

A bunch of compressor clutch tools, service port adapters. Couple orifice tube tools. Don't use these much anymore.

Great stuff, OTG! Take my advice and don't get rid of anything - even if it's sat on a shelf for years. It may come in handy someday - probably the day after you sell it! :lol_hitti

As I was saying on the GS thread, I added a pipe/tube/brake line flaring tool to my collection (page 2, post #31) this morning at the flea market. It was a neat design from E. Edelmann & Co, Chicago, that I had never seen before.

I was doing some research on a different topic, looking through the 1943 QMC Supply Catalog QM 6 (Chests, Kits, Outfits, and Sets), and I happened upon this. I thought you reefer/ex-reefer guys would enjoy it.

That's the field I am in, mobile Refrigeration. I work on Thermo King and Carrier units on trailers and trucks. I would love to find some of these tools. I really like the vintage stuff over the more modern tools. thanks for the pictures.

I dug out this tube flaring tool set I found in my late fathers garage. I was researching the name Parker Appliance Co. and happened upon this thread. Thought I would post it here.

Super clean set. Here is a Johnson service set. Not sure what it was for, but has alot of odd little tools, some snapon, blackhawk and duro tools from 1949, and an inches of water pressure gauge.

Interesting assortment of sockets. Pretty specialized looking set. I'm clueless as to the usage of it...:headscrat

Hell, I'm an old HVAC guy, and I don't even know what some of those tools are for, OTG!

I check out this thread every so often just to see the "new" stuff you guys are posting. Very relaxing,

Primo set, CRT! Did you paint the ratchet depressions red, or did they come like that factory?

Another gorgeous CRTDI set!
It seems that I posted my cad plated Duro set on the D-I thread but forgot about this one. I added the fridge ratchet later.

Surprisingly, I believe that's the original finish for these.
