First post, new here (hopefully the greeting's not cold) so hey to everybody.
Looking through "refurbishing a toolbox" through google and you guys seems to have the best (and all the answers) so I decided to join up myself to ask my own questions.
At first I actually thought it was a toolbox (giggle now) and looked around online for some like it, but found none. That's when I found out it's a propane kit tin. It was just going to be tossed so I decided to take it home with me and refurbish it.
I just got it into my head it could be this great thing and I *HAD* to do it myself even though I've never done anything like this before. Hopefully you guys all know what I'm talking about lol.
Its been sloppily repainted red, but it's not so bad that I couldn't take it all off (washed it out last night, and some already chipped away). I borrowed a sandgrinder, figuring I'd probably need to sand it sometime (I tried a bit on the bottom today where there's no paint, looks great, but I'm not a fan of those sparks, so maybe sandgrinder is not the way).
I was thinking paint removal would be first, so I was thinking maybe just paint remover would be a good start? What do you think? (Be gentle, I'm new but I'm trying!)
