Had this Emglo wheelbarrow compressor given to me probably 3 or 4 (maybe 5) years ago.
It had literally fallen off the back of a truck and crushed the fuel tank & the carb was damaged too.
got it running by feeding it with gas from a squirt bottle and had it going for about 10 minutes. ran nice ( as nice as can be expected with manually feeding it gas) and it built pressure. no leaks anywhere.
Ordered a new tank & carb, and that's where the project ended. I was going to use it for fencing repairs on various properties I did work on, but it never materialized, I always ended up using electric with hundreds of feet of air hose sometimes.
A friend was mentioning one time he was looking for a gas compressor, I told him about this one. It ended there. With the spare time i have now I decided to get into it . Spoke with my Buddy and he is very interested. so here's the resto project. not many before pics, and none in the prepping for paint process.

here are a few before's

Good fix up. Some of that investment time is well worth it, you might not spend on a new one at this point. I did a couple basket cases a while back, they reached the point it was fix or toss and not so bad when I did it.

About 6 years ago I picked this one up from a guy that does duct cleaning. A great mobile compressor, 2 stage (0 to 175psi in about 45 seconds). Good job on your project, you will wonder why you waited so long.

I need to do mine I threw together a while ago. The tank is finally perforated and I'd rather have a wheelbarrow tank instead of the 25 gallon tank anyway. Anyone know where to find a used wheelbarrow tank in good shape that won't break the bank?

Check Surplus Center. They have had them in the past.

I had the electric version of that compressor and the tank started leaking at a weld. The $ wasn't worth it as the air volume wasn't enough to justify the money. I found a used mini compressor which is fine for my needs.

Cheers

Bigblockyeti - I bought a wheelbarrow compressor about 5 years ago. I figured I needed a new tank, so I did some research. A company was selling what I think are Makita twin tanks for 120 USD. I ended up not needing it (my tank didn't go boom when i hydro'd it), but it looks like a solid deal. I highly recommend connecting the two tank drains (and elbow, a tee, and some rubber hose between) and put a ball valve on the output. Its SO much better than the original Rolair drains on my compressor. Hope this helps: https://www.surpluscenter.com/Air-P...elbarrow-Style-Air-Compressor-Tank-4-9070.axd
