I have an old Atlas 7B metal shaper, some form of old Atlas lathe, and an old Rockwell 21-100 vertical mill. At some point, I'd like to start learning to use all of their functions.

The mill has some sort of spindle-related issue, the lathe powers up and struggles, but refuses to spin its chuck, and the 7B shaper hasn't been powered up in over 30 years.

The question is this: Are there any machine repair services that offer basic repair of older machines, and that will do so where those machines live?

I've only been working with and on machines for fifty years, but in the places I've lived, there haven't been any machine repair services which make house calls, as opposed to industrial services.

Even if there were, the machines you have are light duty homeowner examples and wouldn't be worth the $100 per hour and up a professional would charge to come and look at them.

FWIW, all the above are relatively simple machines and the manuals for them are available on line. If you have the ability to operate them, you have the ability to sort them.
