I purchased a Fein WSG8-115 Angle Grinder through a private seller (Fein Tools Authorized Dealer) on Amazon back in April of this year. The Amazon item description stated that as long as the product is registered "within 60 days," I will be able to get an extended 3-year warranty. I was in the process of attempting to register the product today and was surprised by the disclaimer stated on Fein's Warranty Registration Portal (6 weeks, not 60 days). Amazon has recently updated its item description to 6 weeks, ironic?

Is there a chance Fein will still be able to register the product (when done over the phone), or is it too late? Any one time exception? I can generate a guarantee certificate online (for a later date), but its only valid when accompanied by the original proof of purchase.

Guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Re: Registering Fein Power Tool for Free Extended Warranty

Here's good news, they will still honor the extended warranty provided I have the original proof of purchase on hand. I was informed to select a date which corresponded to the last 60 days. A couple weeks of difference will not conflict with the warranty claim. :)

I was almost about to repurchase this grinder from another merchant and sell the original one on fleabay. :D

CamelCamelCamel indicates this grinder was on sale for $60 last year. Purchased for $75 (excluding shipping) this year. Current retails for $110 on Amazon. :shocking:
