Hi guys just picked up a new to me Makita DP4001 13mm electric drill in pretty good knick for good money, going to replace the chuck as its pretty ripped up on the outside and cracked the gearbox off the motor to check condition, all looks pretty good apart from the grease looking a bit off so I will replace it while its open. Manual calls for "Makita grease n No1" but for the life of me I cant find any online, wondering what would be a good substitute? thats easily obtainable?

Cheers

Just about any NGLI No.1 grease should work, if you can find some. John Deere cornhead grease works really well for gears too.

Lubriplate makes a portable tool grease GR-132.
A NGLI1, as mentioned, would be preferable, as it is a little more fluid.
