A while back I picked up a non functioning Armstrong torque wrench for a few bucks. Figured I would take a look inside and see what was going on. Got it open today and it's pretty rough in there...piles of rust dust fell onto my bench and the grease had deteriorated into sticky muck. Decided it wasn't worth repairing, but the ratchet head in in fine shape. It appears to be the much beloved 36 tooth mechanism. Anyone ever swap a regular handle onto these, or must they be modified first? Worst case I figure I have myself a short 1/2" spud ratchet.
