Regulator installation/hookup

This is how the gas company left my tank. The installer come today to start gas logs and couldnt because the regulator is not hooked up to the tank.

How do I hook it up? Please help.

you have a tank lock out on there . call your tank/propane supplier

You have a POL lock on your tank. Did you just buy the home? If so you need to set up an account with the provider that owns the tank.

The company just come out and installed a tank a week and a half ago. I got it filled up and they told me I would have to get my builder to hook up the gas logs. The builder explained to me to call the gas log company and they would come out to start it because it is under warranty.

I have not paid first bill yet as I just received it on Thursday of last week. It is due the last day of the month.

Is it protocol for the company fo put a lock on it?

In my area no. The only time we ever lock a tank is if someone has not paid their bill and we cannot get at it to pick the tank up. (im not saying that's you). Just give em a call in the morning and im sure they will come out and unlock the tank and finish hooking it up. Maybe the tech forgot to take it out before leaving.

Thank you for the replies. The gas company is on my way to work so I will stop in tomorrow and see what the situation is.
