Regulator placement - Mr. Heater Big Maxx

So I'm installing my garage heater, a 50k Big Maxx because I just couldn't source a small boiler for my in floor heat. Last year I was running an electrical boiler, and the cost to heat my garage was absolutely ridiculous. So, for not I'm going to run this unit heater.

Anyways, my gas is high pressure, 2 psi, so I need a regulator before the heater. But it's awful close to the venting. Is this fine? Is there a specific clearance between the regulator and the exhaust venting? I couldn't seem to find anything.

I do not have the venting finished, but when I put a 45° elbow on I maybe had 1/4" - 1/2" between the edge of the regulator and vent pipe.

Not sure if the picture will help. I can get a better one later today if needed.

Added an addition picture for reference.

I ended up moving the regulator. Just seemed to close.
