What options do I have for rehandling these old screwdrivers? Will new hard handles fit, and if so, can anybody tell me what sizes I would need?

Models are SSD-1, SSD-4, and SSD-8

Do those have sentimental value?
Rehandling screwdrivers, even Snap Ons, is new to me.
Are you trying to replicate the original look or just make them look better or have a smoother feel when using them? Will those be users or wall decor?

Would you want to merely use some Flex Seal or Plasti Dip to smooth out all of those gouges and cracks?

I had the same problem the attached sheet should help. When I ordered mine I claimed that the old handles had disintegrated and was a doing a warranty claim. They sent mine for free. May work for you.

I actually did contact Snap on and they are sending replacements, however, they told me to throw these out when the new ones arrive. I have a hard time doing that if they can be saved. The blades are in good shape, just the handles are falling apart.

I wish we could still get the old smooth handles, I'm not a fan of the texture on the newer handles... it reminds me of material out of a 3D printer.

Back in the '90s the local SO truck guy replaced worn S driver blades while retaining the black handle.

I believe they don't make the square black handle any more but the newer hard handles are available. I found a new style comfort grip that was run over at the gas station, I made the blade into a chisel.

I was hoping the new hard handles will fit the old blades. And hopefully I can find a few hard handles online somewhere that don't cost as much as a new screwdriver.

Call them up. The handles should be covered under the warranty. Last time I called, they replaced blades, but sent whole screwdrivers rather than just handles. I have gotten a replacement handle once in the past though. Unlike the original handle, the replacement is missing the markings that are specific to the blade. The new Instinct pattern hard handles will not fit into your old trays either.
