Many of us have dreamed of what lurks inside the largest tool hoard on the eastern seaboard. Today I have seen with my own eyes the pure awesomeness of the Twertsy Tool Temple.

I showed up with my small bag of paltry offerings but surprisingly, I had a few Blackhawk items that the great Twertsy did not have. Before we got down to bartering, I received the deluxe tour of the entire place.

As we moved from section to section, I tried to contain my inner excitement of seeing one beautiful toolset after the next. Every corner was packed with the coolest stuff, most of which I had never seen before. Vises, toolboxes, cars, signs, tool boards, grinders...antique refrigerator...

By the time we got to the second level, all I could think about was the massive tool hoard that I just bore witness. Would I be able to barter? Twertsy has 30 of everything.

At the end of the day, yes, I was able to leave with some great stuff. If any of you are bestowed the honor of an invite, I assure you that Walt Disney has nothing on Twertsy's Tool Temple. I know that I will be back again once I restock on items of interest.

Firestone (Plomb) 1/2 drive set in the box
Firestone (Plomb) 3/8ths ratchet
Plomb combo 5/8ths pebble wrench
Craftsman 1/4 inch flying V ratchet
41 inch gas sign double sided porcelain for the teens/twenties

Judging from the description, my tool collection is microscopic, in comparison. (Not a complaint, just a statement of fact.)

While I would certainly be awed by Twertsy's Tool Temple, I think my wife needs to see it, so that she'll know my collection is modest in comparison. LOL

Where as I would hate to let my wife witness twertsy's tool temple. Being judged against such a level of greatness would leave me impotent and unable to perform. I doubt I'd ever be able to get a wrench up again. :(

Girlfriend asked me "How many ratchets do you need?"
I just showed her a couple photos out of the "show us your ratchets" thread and she didn't ask again.

Another really good one for answering that "How many do you need?" question are some of the photos in the "Hammer time!" thread.

2) to show our better half's we don't own two of every tool in the world :bounce:

Good idea, She oftn complains that I "never use any tools", then asks me to fix something.

I just use the "let's go upstairs and start counting shoes" ploy.
It works every time.

Often I take her to the mall, usually after a package from HJE arrives. LOL

I was asked the same question about tool boxes.

After visiting the tool temple, I no longer believe that I have a tool box issue. My 15 or so pale in comparison to what's on display. lol

Twertsy is a true gentleman and generous at that. I got a Champion Sparkplug ratchet from him some months ago to replace one that had sentimental value which was stolen from me.
Thank you again Twertsy.

Unfortunately, that would be zero! I have a Proto Tool Mobile, but no Plomb.

Oh man, I would have thought for sure there would have been multiples.. Have you posted pictures of it? I don't know if I have ever seen a proto tool mobile? But then again maybe I was just too busy staring at your roto display to notice

Love the thread title. Twertsy's Tool Temple.

You'd better be careful, Todd. People might start making the pilgrimage en masse! You'll have to start charging admission. :lol_hitti

It's earlier than I thought. Either way, the BlackHawk stuff ended up where they belong. The Tool Temple is a much better home for BlackHawk hand tools than mine. :)

Horse: thanks for starting a thread about TWERTY'S VINTAGE TOOL SHRINE. that boy sure does know how to find and then BUY some cool stuff. even though i've seen the video i'd still love to see it in person and i hope he gets the time and funds to build that huge shop he's been talking about some day.

i won't have many TOOL FUNDS in the near future, but now that i've got both of my daughters married and added two great son in law's to the family i can save up for my own shop to maybe ORGANIZE IT and open DRIVESITFAR'S HARDWARE STORE some day.

good to see you both had a fun day trading stuff and swapping stories.

cheers!!
