Relocating 4 way switch what to do with neutrals.

Hey,

Have to relocate one 4 way switch that sits between two 3 way switches which operate a single light.

Not sure where the light is wired in regarding the switches.

4 Way makes way for a junction box.



From the left in come the two 14/3 from the two 3 ways.
The two 14/3 to right go to the new 4 way switch location.

Do I have to keep the neutrals from the 3 ways to the 4 switch isolated from each other like the travelers or can they all go together?

Do whatever you want with the white wires to the new switch. They are not needed, could have ran (2) 14-2's if you wanted.

They can all go together.

They can all go together in this j-box. However, the whites going to the S4 box won't connect to anything or have any purpose. So both whites could be capped off on each end. They become "spares".

True, but there is no harm in connecting them together at the S4.
