Anyone know if the drawers on an old Rem Line tool box can be removed?

Yes. They probably have the little black clips you slightly pry outward with a flat blade screwdriver.

Actually you raised my curiosity and I looked for black clips and found tabs inside hole on the slide part . Pushed in the tab and slid right out! Thanks for the help!

I have a Rem Line stack from the very early 1960s and I can confirm that you can remove the drawers by 'jumping' the drawer slides.
