I was in the garage I found a small rempro tool box that was I good shape other then the paint. Is the brand a decent brand and worth my time sanding and painting or is the brand garbage?

Rem line for many years were very good boxes and have only fallen into the junk category in the last 10 years or so. My dad has a 6 drawer drop front rem pro chest and it is built very well. He bought it used 15 years ago so I don't know its exact age.

Why not use your own judgment to determine if the box feels like quality or not?

X2, since it is already in your possession this should be pretty easy to determine. If you were looking at purchasing it, then I would understand, but that is not the case here. :dunno:

So if one person says it is junk will you throw it away?
If one person says it is fantastic will you keep it? :dunno:
It's a small carry box, not much to go wrong, no drawer slides or the like, right?
I will tell you this, if you plan on repainting and try to sell it at a profit, don't. You will loose money and time. It is not something highly valued or sought after.

a six drawer, 26 inch wide? if so, a great box. probably one of the better six drawers ever made. they had full depth drawers. a decent locking system and braces on both sides f the lid. i used to have one and it still upsets me that i sold it. first real box i bought with my own money and built my first stack around.
