What an antiquated facility. Clearly none of their profits were reinvested into manufacturing. I’m surprised the auction is now. Didn’t the facility shut down in 2020?

Like most of these auctions I see, I predict the items will go for extra stupid money, especially given the history behind where they came from.

Having been doing this **** for 50 years I can comment a titch with a little bit of iron in the words. Y'all need to look past the dirt and stains. There are some really nice machines here. At least the few manual machines I looked at. Some shop would do great if the totaled dollars are decent . But with an auction ya never know. Those wood floors are the greatest thing to stand on at a machine. **** moving a cart but easy nice on the legs. I can just smell and hear that place. When I worked at a place like that (with a line shaft mind you) We turned out just as good a quality product as the shop we have now with its shiny machines and epoxied floors. I guess Im just saying here is if your trying to get something for your small or home shop . Look at the bones. Be an educated consumer. Make some toolmaker friends get advice. Check parts availability and cost. Check power requirements. Check tooling that comes with machine as this can be worth more than the machine itself. Figure transportation. Some auctions make you use their riggers. Can get costly. Ya can maybe set yourself up with something very nice. Peace brudahs (y)

Hopefully an American "custom arms" manufacturer can grab up some machines and start producing some high end iron .…….. Like LJZ said in post #10: "Look past the dirt and stains"

Some nice old tools there, but very little that belongs on a modern manufacturing line. I agree with Etchase, they clearly were no investing in their manufacturing line for a long time.

I would love to have the Monarch for my home shop. However the auction is shady. No inspection, look at the pictures but the picture contents are not guaranteed. You literally are gambling. Also the “approved” rigger is stupid expensive.

Sadly I will be passing.

I think they are looking toward the future and also the upgrade to new equipment, maybe a more available work force.

Remington ammunition was recently sold and bought by Vista outdoors, and Remington arms was bought by Roundhill Group. Both should do well now. Why have a company where you are not wanted, maybe the tax situation is better also in Georgia.

They wont sell for much. This auction ended Oct 11th but it'll give you an idea of the prices they'll fetch.

I would have had a field day at that one. Also they allowed in person inspection and no restrictions on riggers. A lot of it looks beat to ****, but a Monarch for $490 is a steal. Even if it was completely clapped out, you could easily make your money back in parts and scrap.

I tried to buy the building so I could buy the machines and have a place to store them lol
