This ended up in a private auction hosted on Ebay. It's a local pick up only deal with a 23% premium. It's located in York, PA.

I told Twertsy about this but now that I see the pictures, this box is a restoration gone off the rails. The bottom handles and/or drawers do not match the originals.

Starting bid is 25 bucks. I already can tell that the box will need about twice that in materials to finish the restore if handles are the only thing it needs other than paint.

What do ya think?

I'm used to seeing premiums up to 10%. I guess they are trying to pay the Ebay fee from the pockets of the bidders.

Anyhow, the bidding has already ended. The lot went for 5 bucks. $7.50 with premium.

They might try to pay Ebay fees from the bidder's pocket, but as a frequent buyer at auctions, I include the premium in my calculation of the value of the item(s)
