I’m remodeling my small laundry room; it has three doors and connects the back of my kitchen with the enclosed porch. Here are some basic details:
--Approximately 12’ x 5’
--the washer/dryer at one end w/ a washer receptacle; door to outside at other end
--door from kitchen is approximately 8’ from washer end
--door to porch is approximately 4’ from washer end; there’s a receptacle on the wall between the door to the porch and the door to the outside
Just a few questions:
--When calculating the required number of outlets, should I include the washer receptacle, or is that considered a ‘dedicated’ outlet, and not part of the calculation?
--Considering the short width of the room, do I need to have another outlet on the wall opposite the existing outlet? I understand the 12’ perimeter rule, but want to ensure I install the required number of outlets as I remodel the laundry room.
