Remote Camera with YouTube live feed.

Hi,

Just looking for some help on a small project that I need to work on. I need to set up a remote camera and then be able to do a live feed to YouTube. This is for a 40' Osprey nesting pole we just had installed at a remote site. There is no internet access at this site. I do have 110 volt power. The camera we would like to be able to have pan and tilt. Its components that that I am unsure that we need. Modem at the site to be able to send the data out and then what we would need on the receiving end to be able to upload to YouTube.

We use OxBlue cameras to monitor construction projects. All the require is 120v power. We rent them, not cheap. Do a web search, they are out of atlanta.

We went with Truelook for our construction project. Definitely big $. Not sure what your budget is, but the one we have does time lapse, live photo/video from web browser using cell card in the main box.

Reolink is a well known and respected brand for wired and wireless cameras. They have 2 battery/solar powered PTZ cameras that may suit your needs. There's a 1080P Reolink Go PT and a 2K version Reolink G PT Plus. https://reolink.com/us/product/reolink-go-pt/ . They use nano sim cards that work on T-Mobile and Vodafones 4G cellular network. Depending on the amount of time spent live streaming and the location, its possible that the solar panel may not keep the camera fully charged indefinitely but would definitely prolong the time between having to access and charge the camera. The timelapse feature and app are considered by many to be user friendly, but I know that user friendly is a subjective and relative term.

Do you want a full off the shelf solution or do you want to hack something together? What's the budget?

Do you have cell coverage at the camera site? If your streaming 24 hrs a day you'll need to consider your data costs. Something unlimited would be best.

Do you have line of sight from the camera to another place with internet? If so, point to point radios like something from Ubiquiti https://www.ui.com/ might be worth considering.
