Remote Controlled Fireplace Mantel with what?

I made this over the past few months in my shop. A fireplace mantel with an Art Deco inspired design and hidden speakers. Wife did not want to see surround speakers, so I made this which is controlled by the stereo remote.

That is extremely cool. Well done!

This doesn't really matter, but my first impression was to
suggest that a repeating geometric pattern be added to the
outside of the mantel. Currently, the eye is drawn to three
specific spots. As part of a continuous, larger pattern, the
three doors would be practically invisible. A square wave
pattern would be very Art Deco and completely hide the
doors.

I agree. I had not thought of that when I made it. Originally the doors did not have the trim on them, but then the gaps were larger then I wanted and more noticeable then the trim.

That's pretty cool! But.....it reminds me of my mantle growing up that I broke a tooth on!
