I have serveral pieces of equipment that need more room than I have.

I have a tubing bender, tubing roller, sheet metal bead roller, etc.
All of these really need to be on a floor mounted base in the center of the garage, to allow room around the tool.

I don't have the luxury of that kind of space.

I first was thinking of a reciever hitch concreted in the floor, which would allow me to put a post in when needed, but I think it would wiggle too much.

I then thought of a flat square plate with 4 bolt inserts in the concrete that would let me bolt it down when needed, but I think the threads would get mucked up with sand and grit.

Then I thought of a modified engine stand, that would roll out of the ways hen not in use, but I think while the mobility may be convenient, but I think it would bring different problems When working long pieces of tubing. And leveling would be another ongoing issue.

Which brings me back to floor mounts.

What solutions do y'all recommend (bonus points for pics).

I have done this and used a set screw to keep **** out of the hole/insert.

Same deal, but use a regular bolt (free), cut the head off and cut a slot for a screwdriver slot.
No **** in the hex...
And like i said, free!

Red head drop in anchors work well for an application like this. As stated above just put something in the hole when they are not in service.
