Remove deck nails from rotted deck boards in masse?

I have one... Works decently but you need to do it over a trash can or the nails will go absolutely everywhere.

Does it pull them out, or push them through?

Pushes. You slide that metal nose piece over the nail and a piston drives then through with great rigor.

I've also seen ones that use pneumatics to pull a nail
