I am removing a dryer vent that is not used anymore. (moved vent to another

spot). Removing the vent leaves a 4 inch diameter hole in the poured concrete

wall. What would be the correct way to fill this hole in? Thankyou for your help.

Hydraulic cement will not shrink and should be able to be packed in against the backer

Is there any chance someone in the future may want the dryer vent there?

Good point. Maybe foam in the middle and cement outside and in so it can be knocked out easier

Cut a styrofoam circle and tap it into the hole about 1/2" below flush, use hydraulic cement to fill it flush as stated it wont shrink and if mixed stiff it will not sag but the stuff dries fast(like five minutes). If you use a sponge and a brick jointer you can make the patch match the block if you need it to look good.
I fixed an old chimney hole in my block basement and after paint you could not see where the patch was.

A metal plate with spring legs will plug into the hole. It can be backed up with foam to enable someone else to reuse the hole in the future.
