Removing a Split Pulley

I know someone here will know. I've never seen this before. I purchased this Craftsman "Fan Duty" motor at a garage sale for $17.50 to use on my old Craftsman King Seeley DP. How do you remove this type of split pulley from the motor shaft? The outside piece threads unto the inside and is held in place with a set screw that applies pressure to the inner half. What keeps the inner half on the shaft? (no set screws on it). Thanks

There should be another set screw. Remove the resilient mount bracket and look at the backside of the remaining half.

Thanks for the info and advice. 454 - after I got the motor home I saw it was "Fan Duty" and thought it might not be the best for my old DP. When I saw it laying under a table at the sale and I could make out "Craftsman" I chocked and said "I want this".

Most of the belt drive exhaust fans I've worked on had resilient mounts, adjustable pulley and were vertical mount. That motor and pulley should work well for a DP.

Some fan duty motors I have seen do not have internal fan to cool the motor, just the air from the primary blade it's driving. So they will not last very long in a drill press application as there is no air flow. You should be able to look in the motor and see if it has an internal fan.
