I recently pulled up some indoor/outdoor carpet which was glued down by a previous owner. I want to either paint or tile this and was wondering what I need to do to get the remainder of carpet and adhesive up off the cement floor? Any ideas? If I can get it completely up I could paint but tile is looking more attractive option so maybe I dont need to get all of it up? Anyway, I attacked it this weekend with a HF pnuematic scraper and its a stubborn glue. I can get it up but its going to be a lot of weekends to get it all. Is there a big rotary steel wire brush or maybe could I use a conrete grinder? area is 32 x 12 outdoors

We use to use a very heavy vibrating scraper we rented from a local store.. Kinda looked like a lawnmower with a big scraper blade on the front very heavy it took up tiles and adhesive..
