The wife and I just recently purchased a new home, well new to us. Anyway the garage floor was painted with I think concrete paint years ago. Will the epoxy work once I use muratic acid to etch it and then pressure wash it? I would love some feedback or any input is appreciated. We are in Florida and it always hot so Im hoping the temp is in my favor.

The acid will not penetrate areas where paint remains--it will have no effect. Pressure washing is not going to do a very good job of removing that paint, and you'll want to get that paint off of there to reveal fresh, scored concrete underneath. The best approach is physical grinding--if you leave old paint on there and go over, you'll most likely--and I mean 95% likely going to have a failure withing 3 or 4 years.

Thundercow is right... you need to remove the paint before acid etching. There are also chemical methods (like our OrganiStrip products) that you can try but if you can get a good price on a grinder rental it's the best way to go. The OrganiStrip products are more expensive than conventional strippers but they are biodegradable and can be hosed down a drain.
