Hey there,

I have a question for you garage floor geniuses. I have a garage that on part of it has an epoxy coating on it.

I'm thinking of putting in Racedeck, but I'd like to remove the old epoxy before doing so. I know I don't have to remove it, but i'd like to.

The epoxy is pretty hard and can't be scraped off.

Any idea if i need to use acid or sand it or anything else and where can i get the equipment from?

Thanks.

I think (and I'm no expert. Didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) that the only way to remove epoxy is to grind it. I etched my garage floor so the epoxy would have something to hold onto and I'd hate to try sanding or chemically striping it off.
