I have a 10x10 shop space with concrete floors that was a cedar closet in its former life. The 2x4s that made up the base of the closet were covered in foundation tar, so now that they're gone, the space has 8 or so 4" wide strips of tar on the concrete.
I knocked down the high spots with an ice scraper, but can't get rid of the thinner remaining stripes. Mineral spirits and a wire brush did nothing but gum up the wire brush.
I want to remove this gunk because I eventually plan on rust bulleting the concrete. Are there any other tricks to remove this gunk? Can I rust bullet over it?
