Removing latex paint from asphalt?

Somebody missed the dumpster outside my shop with a can of latex paint. Now there's a big white spot on the asphalt. Is there anything I can use to get the paint off that won't harm the asphalt? I plan on pressure washing it, but I don't think that's going to help very much...

Pressure washing with a gas machine can get most latex off concrete. There's no asphalt around me so I haven't tried it on that. Just start with the pressure washer it's probably your only shot. Any solvent that eats latex like Goof Off is going to eat that asphalt and make a bigger mess.

When you get done cleaning you could use asphalt sealer to cover what is left. It would have to look better than a paint spill

Latex paint can take a few days to really adhere. Until then, it may appear dry, but isn't so much. I would get to the pressure washer ASAP, and expect good results.

Unless it is thick enough to peal up from the pressure washer you are pretty much out of luck. I have try to clean up this type of mess so many times its not funny.

I work for a garbage company and when the paint that ILLEGALLY gets put in the dumpster starts to leak out of a truck as we go across a parking lot now it's my fault.:twak:

I spilled some on my brick walkway and pressure washing got some/most of it off. The rest is still there. Every time I walk on it I tell myself I am going to turn the affected bricks over but it never happens. Good luck.

Try denatured alcohol and a wire brush if its not to old that will get most of it up. But leave scratches. But weather will hide that in time

The pressure washer will eat the asphalt leaving scars, if the paint is thick enough it may be able to be peeled off, otherwise a asphalt coating may be a choice.

Unfortunately it's already been there for about 2 weeks. Should I try warming up the paint with a heat gun or maybe dump some boiling water on it before I pressure wash? I suppose it's not a good idea to heat up the asphalt prior to pressure washing...
