any easy way to remove paint overspray from an older but totally functional Kennedy roller cabinet? I have tried paint thinner, tar remover, and fine steel wool, with no affect. The good news is it seems the brown wrinkle finish appears to be indestructable. I did a search and it seems that the only way to fix this kind of problem is to overspray it again with Kennedy brown, if that is really a color. I actually always wanted a black roller cabinet- wrinkled or not. Thanks.

1. Try a little carb or injector cleaner in an inconspicuous area.

2. Try a little lacquer thinner in an inconspicuous area.

Clear pvc cleaner is pretty good too, but try out in a inconspicuous spot, it might try to take the brown off.

Clay bar only works on a perfectly smooth surface.

If it has a crinkle finish, the clay will just come apart and make it look worse than it currently is.

I would try 3M adhesive remover. Either that or Autosmart Tardis. Both are good at removing bonded oil based contaminants.

These two are your best bet. But put the laquer thinner on your rag or a q-tip and only rub the oversray spots. It will take the old finish off if you aren't careful.
