i am having some trouble getting the 5 year old coat of oil based paint off the garage floor.

i have been using a floor scraper, and it brings the paint up really well in areas that have had a lot of foot traffic over the past 5 years, but in areas that have had furniture and appliances it just don't want to scrape up:eyecrazy:

heat gun works on the stubborn areas, but really slow and leaves some of the color behind. i thought about renting a pressure washer, but the guy at the rental store said it was a bad idea and my cause my drywall to mold.

should i try chemicals? if so, what kind for oil based paint? any other methods of getting up the stubborn areas without grinding my concrete?

all i want is the paint up without spending too much $. i don't want to re paint or epoxy.
