i am having some trouble getting the 5 year old coat of oil based paint off the garage floor.
i have been using a floor scraper, and it brings the paint up really well in areas that have had a lot of foot traffic over the past 5 years, but in areas that have had furniture and appliances it just don't want to scrape up
heat gun works on the stubborn areas, but really slow and leaves some of the color behind. i thought about renting a pressure washer, but the guy at the rental store said it was a bad idea and my cause my drywall to mold.
should i try chemicals? if so, what kind for oil based paint? any other methods of getting up the stubborn areas without grinding my concrete?
all i want is the paint up without spending too much $. i don't want to re paint or epoxy.
