I recently had some work done in my basement and the painters got quite a bit of over spray on the concrete floor when painting. We plan on just sealing the floor to make it a little shiny, its going to be a rec room so we arent doing a fancy floor, any ideas on how to remove it? I have found that scraping with a putty knife has had the best results but its taking forever. I am sure a pressure washer would be great but its inside my "finished basement." Id like to avoid using a stripper since its interior but that might be what I have to do. You can see a little of the over spray on the right side of the photo below. And no, making the painters come back and fix it isnt an option short of suing them.

If its latex paint, ammonia will help soften it. The smell will be overwhelming, so be sure to ventilate well.
