goo-gone or wd-40 should help a bit. just start peeling and drip some on the sticky backing and let it soak. it should dissolve the adhesive.

if you dont have a heat gun, grab a hair dryer and try it. There are also die grinder attachments called decal erasers that are just for that...but if you just have the one item and will never need it again, Id keep at it with heat and goo gone

+1 lighter fluid works great and safe for paint. Took off a lot of stickers on cars with it. We probably lost abunch of horse power taking off K&N stickers and killer dragon graphics tho.

which is dry electrically charged paint. as with anything with paint and body work you use the least abrasive method to get the job done. While powder coating is defiantly more durable than paint, lighter fluid a safe and very effective way to get the decals off

Like mentioned before, heat is the quickest way. Heat gun or blow dryer and it will peel right off. Then the goo-gone will work to get off any residue left.

out of curiosity, I have herd wd-40 uses naphtha as its solvent (lighter fluid) what about goo gone? i have not used it in a long time. It is good stuff but is that a citrus based solvent? I am sure any of these will pull it right off.

Lots of common "specialized" brand names are naphtha...

And all work well at removing gummy sticker glue, on most surfaces.

Naphtha
Coleman Fuel
Camp Fuel* Ozark Trails, Pensol…
White Gas - (US)
Blazo
Ronsonol (lighters)
Lighter Fluid (lighters)
Lighter Fluid (Charcoal fluids, some are kerosene or a mix)
Gulf Lite and Wizard Charcoal Lighter Fluid - ALIPHATIC HYDROCARBON MIXTURE kerosene and Naphtha?)
Fuelite (Formerly Shellite) - (Name change noted on the MSDS)
Callite - NZ
Mobilite
Panel Wipe - UK
white spirit - AKA Cleaning Fluid, "Terpintine Sustitute" (Paint Thinner) White gas (NZ) THE most misleading name in use for any fuel.
Energine (Cleaning Fluid, Carpets and the like) - Not sold any more?

i got the sticker off.

soaking with PB didn't do squat . so i got the heat gun. all i had to do was get it pretty warm, and it came right off. brake cleaner got the glue off. and PB shined it up nicely.

lighter fluid -- doesn't hurt the paint either.

Just an fyi, Naptha = Lighter Fluid. Have used naptha for years to take all kinds of stickers off. For those of you that still use Zippo lighters you can use it in them too.
