I've just bought a new top and bottom toolbox all is fine with them apart from there's several advertising stickers on the drawers what's the easiest way to remove them. I'd use a heat gun but the garage is without one at the moment.

Thanks

Just try to peel them off and use some kind of adhesive remover after. Then clean and wax the box if the paint is nice on it.

I tried to get the stickers off of my 44" HF box with all kinds of stuff and just made a bigger mess of it. Even the adhesive remover didn't work. As soon as I heated it up, it came right off. I second the hair dryer if'n ya ain't got no heat gun.

Luke, as you're in the UK like me, get some label remover spray from CPC - their own brand (Pro Power) is fine. Free delivery for any size order placed online. It works very well, but it needs to soak in to the sticky bit. If the label is plastic so it can't penetrate, work in from the edges.

Hair dryer first.....this is the best way without damage then if this doesn't work try goo gone, a citrus based the pb blaster the a blade...a plastic paint scraper with goo gone should get it....

I think it all depends on the type of decal or sticker. Sometimes a heat gun works well, and other times it makes it worse. I found the only thing I use WD-40 is for decal removing. If you can let it soak for a while it works pretty good, plus it won't affect the paint like some of the "adhesive" removers.

I've had real good luck with a brand new razor blade, blow dryer and goo gone. I'd caution using anything stronger on the paint as it might start to fade the paint on the box, speaking from experience on that one.

WD40.
Spray it on, you can use a plastic putty knife to open up the edges to help it penetrate. Might take a couple of applications.
It won't damage the paint like razor blades, or other solvent-based products.

I got tge stickers off a box using copious amounts of WD40 but I still have glue residue. I need something to break that down without damaging the paint.

Big +1 to that. Goo Gone is citrus based and I have never seen it damage paint. Goof Off is acetone based and will eat paint (and plastics) within seconds.
