Rented garages... let's see 'em.

So I rent a garage in Queens, NY. While it's the size of a standard two car, it actually only has one door making GoJacks a necessity. Anyway, I am curious who else here rents their garage, either on it's own or part of an apt/house. The reason I ask is that I think renters take a much different approach. Everything I buy or build, I ask myself first how easy will it be to reuse in a different space. I wish I actually owned a place, I would do things very differently, likely taking a cue from Jack Olsen.

Here's a picture of my space. This was taken a while ago, I have since laid a coin pattern floor (removable) and installed some cool vintage metal cabinets along the wall. I'd share some more photos, but I am actually about to pack it all up and move to LA, where I hope to build yet another renter's garage. So anyway, share your rented space and clever, modular garage solutions.

I've got one. I'm in the Military and just started getting my tools and stuff together after my tour in Germany, schools, deployments and what not. I'll post pics after Turkey Day.

this was the 25x60 unit I used to rent. It seemed big at first but man I have a lot of junk. When we moved i filled the dumpster a few times.

With the front bumper 4" off the washing machine, the garage door clears the rear bumper by about 6". I haven't done much, since the size makes it nearly impossible to do any meaningful work in there.

This is the apartment garage I rented for 1 year a few years ago while I was living in Alabama. It's better than the parking lot, and I got some pretty good work done on my Jeep in it, but boy am I glad to have an actual garage now.
