Repairing Facom J.171/174 Ratchets

Afternoon chaps

Has anyone managed to strip down or know how to strip down Facom J.171/174 lock on ratchets?

I have 2 J.174's that don't lock and one J.171 that won't release.

Facom haven't ever done repair kits for these (although the mechanism is removable via circlip) that I can find and no longer make them so replace with the new type. Unfortunately the new type just isn't as nice a ratchet.

The repair kit would be J.171RP, but I believe the kits were discontinued at the same time as the ratchets.

Good luck. Mine still work great, so I haven’t been adventurous enough to take them apart.

I guess I was misinformed about the repair kits but now you have supplied the part numbers I may be able to get them.

I am curious if you were able to get your ratchets repaired?
Do you know if they can be converted to square drive with a Facom or USAG repair kit?
