My facility is a 500Ksqft mix of manufacturing and warehouse, with various colors and formulations of epoxy coating.

We have several areas of flooring that are "chipping" up. Most recently a section came up with we used rollers to move a piece of equipment, but other areas are coming up due to light (but constant) forklift traffic.

The areas that are coming up appear to have little to no adhesion to the concrete, almost as if there was no etching or grinding done during the original prep.

What can be done to repair the damaged areas? The spots represent trip hazards and are very dangerous when moving equipment, plus they look horrible.

I suspect the proper fix is to scrape the entire area and grind the concrete, which we have done in several areas. unfortunately this is not in the budget ($ or time) right now.

You guessed it! Grind and recoat. However, you could spot patch it until you can afford to do it right.

Each area could be ground with an angle grinder/vac set-up and then coated with 100 % solids epoxy, like our SD Epoxy.
