Need some advice on repairing this door threshold to my basement shop. Figured with all the concrete talk in the flooring section I'd find some help.
The doorway is through concrete block foundation. The bottom has cinder blocks with the hole facing up. Three total, but one has lost some of the fill inside it. About 1.5-2" of a hole, and runs under the door threshold, which is not actually fastened in anyway.
I want to refill this block to keep critters out and such. For such a small area, should I go with a standard concrete mix? I have a small leftover bag of Quickrete from a friend, but have never used concrete before. I was looking at concrete patch compounds but seems as those are not designed to fill as deep as my application requires.
It is also getting colder this fall, but temps here are still in the 60s and 70s so I want to get this done before much longer.
