FTXN12NMVJU. 4 year old discontinued model so no heads available. Coil about $240 delivered. A pain to take apart but fairly straight forward. Until the last clip, could see it, knew how it should release and it would not move. Down to it either breaks or comes out! Came out thankfully.
Inside of unit is fairly clean except blower wheel which has been removed twice for thorough cleaning.
In hindsight I should have checked if pc boards and other parts are available before replacing coil, might have been better buying new system.IMG_0011.JPGIMG_0009.JPG

Good job on the swap, very ambitious. I've only bought 2 separate mini split systems but find the indoor/outdoor units themselves are so relatively inexpensive that most would probably be better served to just buy new ones/new system instead of having someone service a issue like yours. If a person like yourself can find the part and do that repair then it saves money and makes sense.

I am too old for this ****! The last 2 Daikin tech I have had, the first one had a Harbor Freight vacuum pump and his gauges leaked, he would likely be good at installing a window AC, this is from a Daikin dealer. The most recent one I went to the Daikin site and found a local authorized Daikin dealer, the tech they sent had no intentions of looking for a leak, he was going to gas and go for about $400!

We will find out in a couple days if I can do the repair :ROFLMAO:

Had a bit of spare time to play around. 2 leaks count em TWO, in a 4 year old coil, only used water to clean, no chemicals ever! Leak only shows above 300 psi. IMG_0006.JPG
