Just traded a small vise for this large Reed. Was frozen up so spent a couple days cleaning and getting everything moving. Would like to replace jaws on this vise. Are they pinned on to the top of jaws? In picture there seems to be pins. Any help with this would be appreciated . Thanks Bill

Pretty sure those are cast-in, in which case you're stuck with what you got. You can clean them up and maybe re-cut the face checkering with a file.

My old Reed had cast-in jaws with big chunks missing. I had my buddy fill the chips with a TIG welder. The OP's jaws can be cleaned up with an angle grinder. Or just put on some soft jaw covers.
