I have an older pre-Lowe’s Craftsman box that has a new home in a service van. I would like to add more slides for reinforcement but I’m having trouble finding just the slides. Part numbers are (1008039-U-L and 1008040-U-R) and it seems these are discontinued. I don’t need exact matches, just something that will fit. I’m pretty sure the boxes Lowe’s currently sell are the same dimensions but I can’t find parts suppliers for those. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i don’t know if there is still a craftsman number to call, you did not mention in your post. Going to be hard to find exact match , could look on face book/Craigslist for a cabinet and use the slides of that box and have spare drawers. If your trying to up the weight rating the bottoms will sag with out reinforcements. It’s tough to find shallow 18 inch deep boxes with good slide weight ratings. The old craftsman were probably 50 pounds mine was, and the new Lowes are 100 lbs with soft close for $350 ish and might find a used box cheaper. Could also look for some used Lista boxes 400 lbs drawers dividers, might be to deep for you but options.

Try calling Waterloo in Sedalia MO at the number below. If they say they don't have that slide part number, try adding a "W" in front of the original #.

Just an update incase someone finds this thread in the future: Waterloo does in fact have and still sell the slides for these Sears era Craftsman boxes. Thanks for the suggestion to contact them directly.
