Hi there,

Was wondering if anyone has gone about replacing the slides. I picked up a red cart in rough shape, so figured I'd replace them. When I called the HF support line they didn't list any drawer slides as available parts for the cart.

I saw in some other threads folks have found replacement slide part #'s and ordered from HF, but the usual lead time is like 8-10 weeks. Also I wasn't sure if these would work in the cart as I measured the slides as 15" and the ones HF offers are 16"..

A buddy of mine sent me this link where a reviewer say he used these for his HF box... do we think they'll work for the cart?

Thanks for any help!

I replaced one pair on my HF cart and got a set of Liberty brand ones from Home Depot and they worked fine. I used rivets on the drawer half and nuts and bolts on the box side to attach them.

I've used the ones Mrmontebuilder referred to also. They work fine, the front most hole lines up perfect but the others need to be drilled if I recall. A word of caution though, replace both the drawer side and the box side of the slides. I didn't, and ended up with a drawer stuck in the box. It opened and closed fine, but wouldn't come out without considerable effort.
